Felt safe as a solo traveler in Mali House.

The location was fantastic, situated right by the morning market and just a short walk to various temples like Wat Xieng Thong and the night market. I particularly enjoyed my time in the Double Room with Balcony, which was cozy and offered a great view of the bustling market. The owner made mornings special with coffee and chats, creating a warm atmosphere among guests. It was a perfect spot for soaking in the culture during my 3-night stay as a solo traveler.

I really enjoyed my time at Mali House. The owner was super helpful and allowed an early check-in after my night bus ride. My Double Room with Patio was really clean, cozy, and had high standards, especially the bathroom. The views from my room were fantastic, looking out over the busy morning market. Mornings included delightful conversations over coffee with the owner, which made it feel more personal. However, there was a persistent barking from a neighboring dog that I found disruptive at times. Despite this, the value for money was excellent. Overall, it felt welcoming and vibrant. I would definitely recommend it, especially for the hospitality and cleanliness.

My stay was marred by issues. The prepayment situation was absurd. I had to pay both upfront and upon checkout. Plus, the room felt cramped with little space to move around, and the noise from the nearby street was unbearable at night. I was deeply frustrated with these inconveniences.

I had a wonderful time staying for 4 nights. The Double Room with Balcony was beautiful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Andy, the owner, served great coffee and was super helpful with local tips. The location is ideal, close to markets and attractions yet tranquil. Highly recommend! ☕️

The location was excellent, right by the morning market which offered lively views. Andy, the host, provided outstanding assistance in planning our excursions and rentals, which was truly appreciated. The Double Room with Balcony was modern and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee on the balcony, taking in the beautiful garden view every morning.

However, the noise from the nearby street could be slightly disruptive at times.

Just an ideal choice for a quick weekend visit in Luang Prabang with excellent value for money. The outdoor dining area was a great spot to enjoy breakfast while soaking in the local vibe. Be ready for a bit of noise from the street outside.
